The Dr. Shyamala Show

Nov 2, 2021

In today’s episode, we talk about how communication originates not from your mouth, but from your mind. The patterned way we think about a person or about a conversation, determines the emotional charge we bring to that particular conversation.

Here are some common emotional charges that we can hold and the impact they have on our communication, both positive and negative:

  • Resentment - sets the conversation up for complaints, subtle attacks and passive-aggression
  • Hope - creates space for solutions, possibilities and excitement
  • Anger - sets the conversation up for for high conflict, blaming and aggression
  • Openness - creates space for exploration, expansion and ongoing dialogue

Join us for an insightful and intimate conversation about how to take stock of the emotional charge you bring to your communication, identify the emotions that are closing off access to intimacy and practice the emotions that charge your communication  with expansion, freedom and possibility.
