The Dr. Shyamala Show

Sep 28, 2021

In today’s episode, we talk about those times we catch ourselves thinking that we know for sure what someone else is thinking. For example, after an interview you may think “I messed up, they think I’m not smart enough for the job”.

When we are dysregulated, it’s easy to  ruminate over a past conversation, interaction, or a look someone gave us. These ruminating thoughts typically result in adding false “evidence” to our already compromised sense of self.

Join us for an insightful and intimate conversation about how the tendency to “know” what someone else is thinking is in fact a Thinking Trap called Mind Reading, and some helpful ways to overcome Mind Reading and develop a more balanced perspective by:

  • Seeking Evidence
  • Finding Balance
  • Keep Practicing

This episode was recorded as part of the weekly training that happens inside our free private Facebook group, The EQ Lab.
